Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

TrackFinder USA (trackfinderusa.com) is operated by M&R Legacy Ventures LLC, a Washington State limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account details: name, email address, username, profile photo, home city and state
  • Content you submit: track listings, reviews, condition reports, event listings, ride posts, photos, lap times
  • Location: city and state for your profile; GPS coordinates if you enable location services in your browser
  • Messages sent through the platform to other users
  • Payment information submitted during Pro subscription checkout — handled entirely by Stripe; we do not receive or store card numbers

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, search queries, timestamps
  • Device and browser information (browser type, operating system)
  • IP address
  • Authentication session tokens stored in cookies or browser local storage

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service
  • Display your public profile, submitted tracks, reviews, and content
  • Send transactional emails: account verification, password resets, ride reminders, and notifications you opt into
  • Process Pro subscription payments via Stripe
  • Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents
  • Analyze how the Service is used to guide product improvements
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Information We Share

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information with advertisers. We share data only with the following service providers, who process it solely to provide their services:

  • Supabase — database hosting and authentication
  • Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions
  • Mapbox — interactive map rendering (your location may be sent to Mapbox when you use map features)
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Vercel — web hosting and infrastructure

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of M&R Legacy Ventures LLC, our users, or the public.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage to maintain your authentication session and remember your preferences (such as map filters). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings, but doing so will log you out.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it. Track reviews and condition reports may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form after account deletion.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — update or correct inaccurate information via your profile settings
  • Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Opt out — unsubscribe from non-transactional emails using the unsubscribe link in any email

To exercise any of these rights, email legal@trackfinderusa.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you additional rights, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information.

We do not sell personal information. To submit a CCPA request, email legal@trackfinderusa.com.

9. Children's Privacy

TrackFinder USA is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at legal@trackfinderusa.com and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure authentication managed by Supabase Auth, and access controls limiting who can access production systems. For more details, see our Security Policy.

No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. Use the Service at your own risk.

11. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites (track owner websites, event pages, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
